Welcome to the Lemon Zest and Garlic Fest! This event is guaranteed to be fun for the entire family (kids 10 & under are FREE) with unlimited food, beer & wine, live entertainment, cooking demonstrations and contests, arts and crafts, and lots of fun activities for everyone. Operated by alms productions, LLC, and powered by more than 100 volunteers, this event is known for  its community impact through charitable giving, its fun concept, great musical experience, craft beers and the fantastic food that San Diego has to offer.

From lemon and garlic inspired food tastings from San Diego’s top culinary minds, to cooking demonstrations, a beer garden, dozens of retail vendors and a family zone, the festival will be filled with tasty delights and fun activities for all ages.

There will be a kid-friendly area featuring activities for all ages, including face painting, photo booths, inflatables, crafts and other games.

Some of the many participating vendors include Spike Africa’s Fresh Fish Grill & Bar, Le Parfait Paris, The Kebab Shop, Leucadia Liscious Artisan Sorbet, Roy’s Famous Chocolate Popcorn, George’s Fish Bucket, Blendees, Aviator Almonds, Brigantine Seafood and Oyster Bar, Corner Bakery Cafe, Haritna Mediterranean Restaurant, Chesa Kusine, Spacebar Internet Cafe, Jerky’s Gourmet, Miguel’s Cocina, Rideout Bistro Oils, The London Bakery, Rubicon Deli, The Primitive Waffle, The Safe House Restaurant, Pike and Sons Candy Company, Lil Miss Short Cakes and more! Guests will be invited to cast their vote for “Best Dish” of the fest after tasting each unique food preparation.

Fat Cat Beer Company is sponsoring the Beer & Wine Garden where guests will enjoy unlimited 2oz pours of their award-winning brews. On top of that, each Beer Garden attendee will receive a souvenir Lemon Zest & Garlic Fest tasting mug.

There will also be dozens of vendor booths offering unique merchandise for sale.

Proceeds from the event help support NSEFU Wildlife Conservation Foundation, a nonprofit organization that protects endangered species and creates job opportunities in Nsefu, Zambia. Through community projects and sponsoring scholarships to educate children, they hope to end the cycle of poaching.

I would love to attend this event with my kids. It combines our two favorite ingredients! They’ll enjoy having it prepared properly and not by my lack of culinary skills.

Two reasons why I would love to attend: 1. This foodie is already salivating over the title ‘lemon and garlic’. It instantly makes me think of my linguine with shrimp scampi (d-lish). Unlimited food AND wine?! Say no more!! 2. I would love to attend the inauguration of the Lemon Zest and Garlic Fest because I support what they’re all about! The NWCF is taking action to preserve the much decimated wildlife in Africa as well as providing scholarships for the children in Zambia.

Who wouldn’t want to be a part of this?!? I certainly do! 🙋🙋🙋🙋 (pretty please?)

I love going to Festivals in San Diego and what better ones to go to than the ones that have great food with one of the best flavorful ingredient there is- Garlic! It would be amazing to be able to take my parents to this. they are the best, most giving people I know and we would create a wonderful memory.

I would loooooove to spend a day with my husband and kids enjoying lemon and garlic combined with awesome entertainment. I am a new grad, looking for a job (stressful) and in great need for some fun time without huge hit on a wallet. It would definitely be a highlight of my summer! Can’t wait!
