The research results are in … the mere mention of “bacon” induces smiles and proclamations of “I love bacon,” from people all over the world but, more specifically, in San Diego. So, for the third year in a row, local eateries, breweries and distilleries are working together to bring America’s Finest City the original, and only, celebration honoring International Bacon Day.

The Black Label Bacon Fest is an all-inclusive affair for those 21 years of age or older, offering guests UNLIMITED samples from over 25 eateries, 25 breweries and several distilleries. Every dish being served has bacon in it!

Live music will be brought to you by Brady Perry.

Some of the participants that will be in attendance are Bub’s at the Ballpark, The Deck, Saltbox, Slater’s 50/50, Taste & Thirst, Sausage & Meat, Crazee Burger, Sabuku Sushi, Draft Republic, Green Flash Brewing, Fall Brewing, URBN Street Brewing Co., Rock Bottom Brewery, Lagunitas Brewing Company, Kill Devil Spirit Co. and Twisted International.

Bacon Day falls on the Saturday prior to Labor Day and this year the date is Saturday, September 5th. The Black Label Bacon Fest is held at the beautiful Preble Field at NTC Park-Liberty Station. Parking is free.

When I am 100 years old and my doctor tells me I can’t eat bacon anymore(which for the record, bacon hasn’t been proven to be bad for you), I would love to look back and remember when I stuffed my face with so much bacon and drank so much of San Diego’s finest beer on Sept 5th, 2015, at the San Diego Bacon Fest.
I would be honored to receive free tickets for my wife and I to attend this awesome event, and will make sure that the memories stick with me until I am 100

My best friend is flying into town tomorrow! We grew up together just 1 neighborhood apart and it has been a very long time since I’ve had the chance to see him in person. He joined the Marines as an EOD Tech and I lived overseas in Germany for 5 years where I graduated from Ramstein American High School, studied in college, and had the opportunity to see Europe with my family that was relocated with my Dad’s career. We’ve had many great childhood memories together and are more like Brothers. How about allowing me to show him how San Diego gets down?!…. Bacon and Beer on The Bay!!
